God Eater 13 marks the end of the first season of the God Eater anime. So here comes the pros and cons of this finale episode!

Pros:
Everything: okay so here's the thing. This episode basically features the final battle between the all-powerful Dyaus Pita and the 1st Unit of the Far East Fenrir Branch: Lenka, Soma, Sakuya, Alisa, Kota. Sadly, Lindow has been taken down by the Pita, but I'll come back to that later on. So first, my favourite song from the original game, No Way Back, IS IN THE EPISODE in a remixed and well-made version, so that's definitely a positive point for me. Secondly, the fight against the Pita is just AWESOME. What I like about those fights is that, even if the shining role always goes to Lenka (duh, protagonist), every character is shown fighting, having their part in the fight, doing what they need to do, you know, as a real TEAM where every member got their importance. So there's that. Third point... Hum I don't know really if I must put that in the pros or cons, but like: the freaking Super Saiyan Lenka man. Oracle Cell erosion caused his hair to turn blonde and his eyes to turn golden, as he freaking used a BROKEN WING of the Pita as a FREAKING NEW GOD ARC when his own (Rip God Arc: Episode 11-13) was BROKEN by the same Pita. This was just like the best moment of the fight, when you see the Pita getting killed by basically his OWN POWER. Truly satisfying to see this bastard finally going down I must say, by his own hand no less (basically). The OST, the graphics, the attacks, the way the fight is carried through... Truly satisfying and overall, really GOOD to watch. Now for the most positive parts: I think the anime will carry on to God Eater BURST part of the game because it is clearly shown at the end of the episode that Lindow is still ALIVE, as we see a shadowy figure (for those who did the game, it's obviously our good ol' Shio) bring several soup cans and food supplies to a person (we only see the feet, but it's obviously Lindow's boots plus you can see smoke on the next sequence so yeah, no doubt is permitted). One more hint that Lindow is still alive is the fact that his God Arc's chainsaw revvs up at the end of the episode, as if to say "Yo guys I'm still there you know." (or is it a possible hinting to Ren? We'll have to wait to be sure). What more... Oh yeah, you freaking see Soma CRYING. Not like, tears flowing down, but you can clearly see him with watery eyes and tears already formed. Soma is shown with EMOTION and over everything else, RESPECT for his comrades, as he praised Kota and said he "owed him one". Kota's smile at that time was priceless. I love how Soma is treated in the anime, way better than in the game in my opinion. And well, Lenka's erosion state is even more advanced than before, as you can clearly see the erosion, even after resting from the battle with the Pita where he simply collapsed after the erosion advanced to the HALF OF HIS FREAKING FACE, advanced to like his shoulder/chest. Lenka became the captain of the 1st Unit after Lindow was presumed dead, and Johannes' plan for the world was revealed too, as we had the first visual of Arda Nova in the episode too. So basically, this episode rocked, I love the anime, good job Ufotable, and now I'm waiting for episode 14, a.k.a Season 2's beginning!
